It is always fun visiting Pambogo school.
This school is linked with a school in Farnham and has pictures all over the wall of a previous visit of staff from Rowledge school.
Pambogo School also hosts one of the weekly feeding programmes. Children appeared to be everywhere. Even in the excitment of our visit they remained focused on their studies.
The other half of the team were in Nyibuko also interviewing loads of children. Some children have now finished schooling and have left the scheme giving oppurtunities for new children to be enrolled much to the delight of desperate carers.
The team has had to work into the night collating all the information we have gathered today. 2 people on each computer. 3 laptops for data entry, one scanning trip forms and the last sorting out the photos of the children.
We are starting 30mins later tomorrow! Everyone is thrilled to get an extra 30mins in bed. We are tired but happy.
Some highlights from the team (what they said when I turned round just now and asked them):
- visiting sponsored children in their homes
- getting to read the letters written by the children to their sponsors
- talking to the children via translator
- the views
- the people
PS: thank you for the comments on the blog. we are all so encouraged you are praying along with us.
