Building team arrive in Romania
-
08 June, 2011
A group of six set off on WIZZ Air to Cluj Napoca this morning. Met in the airport by Iacob Murza the coordinator of all the Grassroots/Benita home building projects. An hour's journey in the car, settle into rooms and then out to the building site (in a small village near Sigmir, West of Bistrita - see map) to see what we have. Now just in from the building site and this is the team's report:
Three rooms below and 2 in the loft. Young married couple 22 & 23 yrs old. They care for two orphans. The church donated the land. the Mayor gave his approval. The UK donors (via Grassroots) are paying for the structure and the local church paying for the roof. The family are helping with the build. They are delightful!
The local team prepared the hard standing before we arrived. We have begun tonight to build the walls plus the internal walls.
The team are Richard, Sharon, Simon W, Charles, Simon S & Avril. Simon W is not feeling well tonight. Accommodation is fab.
It's been very hot here in Romania today. The countryside is stunning. Love you all and please encourage people to pray. We want the family and community blessed in so many ways and the building is just the start.
