So what is the main Grassroots Project in Romania all about?

Very simply we are seeking to assist very poor Romanian families to achieve a better standard of living than was previously possible.

There are very many people living in very old dilapidated cottages which they are unable to maintain adequately. Sometimes we find families of more than 12 children all living in two rooms.

Social and medical care is very scanty and social deprivation leads to all kinds of mental and physical problems that seem insurmountable.

The provision of some kind of schooling for the children, with the support of professionals to help with the development of a decent family life. Back up in times of family crisis and the provision of aid where this is deemed to be needed.

The very great social needs in Romania will not be solved by a small group such as ourselves but we do what we can, within our abilities, and with your help are able to spread our net wider and wider, and help some people. But the source of all help ultimately comes from God himself; the One who holds all things together, the One who provides for all our needs, the One who loves us and cares for us, is also the One who makes all things possible.
