Hi everyone,

As the title says, we have a growing need for people to join us in helping to take orisonschools.org.uk into primary and secondary schools across the UK.

Right now we could do with people to help lead ORISON in Bushey (near Watford) on 22-23 November 2010. In the new year we have sessions planned near York, in Littlehampton, near Worcester, in Surrey and in a growing number of other regions.

Our first approach to including others in this task has been to make all the resources available online (at http://prayerspacesinschools.com) so that anyone can set up an equivalent programme in their own area.

The next step has been to ask those interested to join us when we take ORISON into schools. We need 4+ people each time we run the orison programme. Each person must comply with our child protection policy and have a CRB check, and so we need to hear from you in good time. If you are interested, please drop the office an email and we will call you as soon as we can.

The biggest need is for local Christian organisations (both local church congregations and other ministries that specialise in schools work) to take the responsibility for delivering ORISON in a specific geographical area. If you know of an organisation that would be keen to explore this then do get in touch. It involves an agreement where ORISON gives the local organisation quite a few branded resources, forwards all the opportunities that come into the national office from that area, clearly defines who is responsible for insurance (including staff and volunteer management) and who can raise or receive finances.
