The children in Tanzania love to hear from you.

You can also send a gift (either chosen from the alternative gift list or money for clothing) at any point during the year. But we take out letters/cards just twice per year.

Due to the amount of children on the scheme we cannot take gifts with your letters but would be grateful if you could include £2 in the letter, which we will change into Tanzanian shillings and give to the family.

When writing letters please remember that many of these children do not understand English. A colourful card with a picture of you would be a treasured gift.

Letters must not contain your address, email or telephone number. We would also ask that you are sensitive about the content. Please do not share personal or family problems and refrain from talking about expensive items you have recently purchased or holidays you have had.

All letters will be checked before being given to the child concerned, but don't let that put you off because they do love to hear from you.
