Swaya Sang
-
07 November, 2011
The two teams interviewed 400 children today. A record for any trip ever.As we arrived in Swaya the community came out and sang a welcome song. Fab.
Diana was able to visit her sponsored child at their home. Bitter sweet moment. Very emotional because she saw the conditions they live in. The whole family sleep on a dusty, mud floor. Conditions that should not exist in 2011.
Please pray for Pastor Kenneth. He is very unwell.
The team is now all back at the Karibuni. It's a busy evening with all of us trying to get the computers out and type in the information for each child. If we can do this while everyone is here the information is still fresh and we can ask people what their handwriting means! It also means we don't have to waste money in the UK hiring staff to do admin.
As the evening has gone on we have been battling little biting flies that are alive and well in the Karibuni. Gradually team members have started to flag and drifted off the bed. Those that are left are continuing to do battle with flies and technology ... to get as much done as possible.
And... tomorrow is another busy day!
