London to Brighton brilliant fundraiser
-
22 June, 2010
A group of about 10 members of St Peters Church, Morden, Surrey, aged between 12 and 48 years set off on Sunday 20th June, as part of the annual London to Brighton cycle ride. Many had never attempted such a journey before, approx 50 miles, and were very apprehensive, but knowing how much difference even £1 can make we were all willing and determined to complete the challenge & raise some money for Grassroots.
St Peter’s has had a number of the congregation go to Tanzania to support the projects over the years and are so pleased with how Grassroots has grown over the years and is helping so many children. Please support or continue to support grassroots.I am pleased to say that we all successfully completed the challenge. We believe that we have raised between £300 - £400!

Umthombo, Street Children and the World Cup

07 June, 2010
We have recently been raising money (thanks to Jon Wills efforts in the Brighton Marathon) for a group of people going to serve with Umthombo Street Kids work in Durban. We have had a heart for the city and its extraordinary people since we helped organise Prayer A-Cross Durban in conjunction with SoulInTheCity Durban (organised by Soul Survivor) in 2008.
