-
26 May, 2010
At last we are packing to leave Mbeya. Strange day. A little bitty. Some of the team bought matresses and delivered them to families with children who have HIV. These children had been sleeping on the floor. Very moving.

Mattresses and Mosi-Nets

24 May, 2010
Thank you once again for coming here to get the news to pray. As a team we have felt lifted on those prayers, and even though we are very tired, a new energy got into us today and gave us what we needed to take every child and every situation and bring it to the Lord. Our first task was to take new children on to the sponsorship scheme in two areas: Nyibuko and Airport. We interviewed each child with a translator and their guardian.

From death to Life!
-
23 May, 2010
Good day here. The team were in three different congregations. Elsbeth spoke in Shewa. Paul in Airport and Sharon in Swaya. Some people who came to the Swaya service made a decision to follow Christ. The interesting thing is that the cows in the Swaya farm have also started producing milk! So thrilling to see that the transformation in the village is so great that people can see that Jesus is God, loves them and they want to bow the knee to him. As you looked at their faces you knew they had come from death to Life. From the power of worshipping created things, to know, love and serve the living God!

Other hungry children turned up
-
22 May, 2010
Good time at Shewa today. The team were initially put out. They had noticed that all the children were getting the hot meal, but only some had the porridge and eggs. After investigation they discovered that all the sponsored children were getting all the meal, but several other hungry children had just turned up, and so the team had given them a meal as well. Lovely atmosphere.Sadly there were a few very ill children there as well - with hiv. We took one back to town to see a doctor.

Last meal in the village (Malawi)
-
18 May, 2010
Hi, just finished cooking our last meal in village, very sad to be saying goodbye tomorrow. Had a productive 2 days. Weighed and measured all the children, taught them how to play with new toys. Visited primary and secondary schools, bought the mosquito nets and blankets from alternative gift money and finished up the banking etc. Tomorrow we go back to Blantyre for 1 night before starting our journey home, hopefully with no ash cloud! Blessings, L K
